1988 Albin 43 Trawler Yacht. SSR 113436

Engines: Twin Ford Lehman SP 135 with Borg Warner Gearboxes. Starboard Hours: 3480 / Port Hours: 105 (Port Engine Replaced November 2015)

Shore power cable: 50Amp Marinco – input 220/250V split internally at 120V.

Supplementary 110V AC to all except air conditioning.

Solar Panel with regulator sufficient for long lay up periods.

All six domestic heavy duty batteries renewed in 2010.

Two engines starter batteries renewed in 2009.

Generator battery renewed 2012.

Navigation equipment:

Cabin: Autopilot Robertson AP 22 linked to; Furuno GP 1650 GPS / Chart Plotter. Simrad RT1200 VHF. Uniden 250 hand held VHF. Danforth Constellation helm compass. Pioneer FM/CD feeds saloon and flybridge.

Flybridge: Raymarine RC435i Chart Plotter. Humminbird 400 TX forward facing sonar / fish finder. Separate ICOM VHF. Danforth Globalmarine compass.

Master cabin: air conditioned with queen size four poster bed. Ensuite shower over bath tub. New Jabsco electric toilet.

Pressurized hot and cold water with shower on bathing platform. Hot water calorifier new in 2008.

Guest Cabin with “V” berth plus ensuite shower and Raritan pumped toilet.

Crew Cabin with 2 x six foot bunks.

Galley; all renewed / upgraded in 2008 includes: Force 10 Gas cooker with Grill/Broiler. Adler Barbour fridge with freezer compartment. Overhead ceiling extractor above stove.

Since November 2012 in the saloon the upholstery has been recovered and new blinds / curtains were fitted. The boat will be offered with the entire domestic inventory complete. Electrical upgrades include a 22″ flat screen HD TV which folds down from the ceiling; new DVD/CD player integrated and linked to a Google Android Wifi stick permitting internet browsing and media playing / streaming through the TV. New strategic LED spotlights have been installed over cooking, fridge and reading areas.

On Deck: Simpson Lawrence 1500 Electrics Anchor Winch operates from in saloon or on bridge deck. Sampson posts and anchor platform new in 2008. 44lb Bruce anchor plus 33lb Bruce spare. 200ft. plus chain for main anchor.

There are lots of fenders, dock lines, life jackets, and masks/snorkels, etc. The boat also has a good inventory of tools and spares.

Tara is a very comfortable live-aboard. She will cruise effortlessly and economically at around 8 knots with a max of around 10 knots. She uses under 3 gallons per hour for both engines at cruise and carries 580 gallons including the day tank, so has an enormous safe range of around 1400 miles with over 10% to spare.

A meticulously kept log of maintenance work has been kept over the last 6 years in particular. Tara has been seasonally kept out of the water every year for around 8 months each time. She was last launched in February 2016 after a full hull inspection and anti-foul treatment at Clarkes Court, Grenada. At this time all the exterior anodes were also replaced.
